Concept Building and Observation

Northshore Site Visit Observation Photos

After the site visit there were a few things that caught my eye about the space at Northshore:

  • Little to no shade
  • Oversized carpark
  • Breezy
  • Water tank is able to be opened and walked into
  • Large grassy areas are going unused
  • 2 docks/wharfs on the right side of northshore that are going unused
  • Large amoung of unused wharf timbre
  • 110 colourful bouys available

What makes Northshore Distinctive

  • Eat street – large food culture
  • Industrial
  • Quiet
  • Marine/port history
  • Isolated
  • Close to Portside eateries
  • Massive carpark
  • Easy access to international visitors (i.e. close to airport and docks for cruise ships)
  • Largest riversite in Brisbane – Larger than Southbank!
  • Active lifestyle is encouraged – Lots of walking and bike riding space
